Lewis
is a value-oriented investor that has been involved in trading and
analyzing financial markets for the past 10 years. Lewis received
a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University and graduated as a University
Scholar with a focus in accounting, finance, economics, history,
and English. After completing his undergraduate work, he joined
Arthur Andersen LLP in Dallas as an auditor. Lewis later received
a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School
of Law in Austin.
In early 2000,
Lewis joined David W. Tice & Associates in Dallas, Texas where
he was an analyst with a primary focus on technology and gold mining
equities. He was also a trader for the Prudent Bear Fund and Safe
Harbor Fund and author of the Prudent Bear's popular daily web column,
“Market Summary.”
Lewis left
David W. Tice & Associates in early 2002 in order to form Lewis
Capital, Inc., an investment advisory firm. He also became the Chief
Market Strategist for East Shore Partners, Inc., which is a boutique
brokerage house headquartered in New York that deals exclusively
with institutional clients. Additionally, Lewis is the manager of
Lewis Capital Partners, which is a hedge fund based in Dallas, Texas.
